During the Corona Virus Pandemic, lots of news and information that received by many people. But, not all of news and information are true. Some of them is a fake news or hoax. A campaign call 'We are one' invite everyone to only just take a right news and reject all of the fake news.
This group that cares about things right during Covid-19 pandemic decide to make a campaign positive video for campaigning a slogan reads 'We are one'. They want to tell everyone in this world to just take and spread the right news.
Their goal to make this campaign is applying a positive mindset globally and spread positive energy troughout the world. This campaign was initiated by a businessman named Onggy Hianata with his friend in Indonesia.
Nyo Ai Ling, one of the volunteers of this campaign said to VOA that they are concerned cause there are so many fake news when all people are trying to break the chain of Covid-19. All of this fake news just unsettling and frightening citizens.
In one week, from 14 April to 21 April, succesfully collected photos from 197 countries. Then this campaign was extended to 25 April and accepted 3.700 photos.
Ary Hellya Kurniati, another volunteer of this campaign said that they used google translate to facilitate their camuniation with other people from various country.
In this project, all of the participants take a photo when they are holding a paper containing the same slogan, 'Save life from Covid-19. Only deliver and spread positive news.'
Several Indonesian figures are participated in this campaign. Among them is Priyo Iswanto, Indonesia Ambassador in Columbia, and Basuki Tjahja Purnama or Ahok, former Jakarta governor.
This 'We are one' campaign said that all people have a common needs, which is living in peace and harmony.
